Saturday River Heritage Festival starts with a United Way 5K Run/Walk at 9 a.m. at scenic Buttermilk Falls in Brandenburg, with on-site registration starting at 8:15AM EST. There will be divisions for men, women, youth and children with prizes for winners in each division.
The wonderful pumpkin and scarecrow decorating contest will start at 10am, sponsored by the Meade County Extension Homemakers. Little Dawgs Crew registration starts at 12 with a ride at 1pm and return at 5, will host a 70 mile Art Heritage Motorcycle Ride. Bear Paw Chainsaw artist will be cutting up those logs into great art treasures. Arts and crafts will be for sale. Music will be provided by Mojo Bey starts at 3pm, Miles Apart at 5pm and starting at 7pm the Jericho Woods band plays. Sponsors of the River Heritage Festival are Meade County Fiscal Court, Meade County Extension Homemakers and the City of Brandenburg.
