The Meade County Area Chamber of Commerce and chamber members Neita Williamson and brother Craig Clark invite the public to a ribbon cutting to mark the Grand Opening of their new business The SHOP, located at 133 Christian Church Road, Brandenburg. The ribbon cutting is set for Friday, May 16 at 4 pm. Light refreshments will be served. The public is invited (no one under 21).
NCR Steel Works owner and Meade countian, Neita Williamson, with her brother Craig Clark have completely revamped the large building behind the steel works shop, and opened THE SHOP. The outside area offers seating that opens into the main serving area. A handmade concrete bar stretches the length of the building. Seating areas with tables, stools and a dance floor are joined by 3 pool tables. Back outside they have constructed a steel works fence system, and a volley ball court, awnings and game areas are in the works. The move to open an over 21 night spot for Brandenburg has proven to be a great idea. “We had lots of stumbling blocks to overcome but when you are paving a new road that is to be expected. Now that we are open our clients are very glad to have us in the neighborhood,” stated Williamson.
“We are excited to invite the public to come see what a nice fun place we have here. Being a member of the chamber and having a ribbon cutting seemed like the best way to do it,” shared Williamson. Neita heads the team with bar managers Alex Mitcham and Sabrina Mills, and staff MJ Popham, Jenny O’Riley, Amanda Durbin and Ryan Lane.
THE SHOP is open Monday – Friday, 1 pm until midnight, and Saturday from noon until midnight. The Meade County Area Chamber of Commerce is assisting with the ribbon cutting ceremony – a service it provides at the request of any new or relocating business in the community.
