Now Accepting Leadership Meade County Applications

July 13, 2016

LMC

Leadership Applications Now Available!

The schedule is out and it looks like a great year of interesting Meade County topics. This is a great opportunity for people to grow in their professional and personal life while working towards a better county for our future.

To address some questions that we have been getting: you do not have to be a member of the chamber, nor live in the county. All we ask is that you are committed to making a positive difference in Meade County and yourself.

Leadership applications can be downloaded, scanned and delivered to the chamber office no later than August 20, 2016. The start date for the leadership class is September 9th for the meet & greet and lunch. September 20th is the retreat. Call us with any questions you may have, 270-422-3626. Attached is the tentative agenda for the course.

Leadership Meade County is a program to identify and motivate emerging leaders from a cross section of the community. Participants will develop their potential for community leadership by learning about the realities, opportunities and challenges of our community. We will provide training in leadership skills, which will translate into improved social, business and economic conditions, by instilling a sense of community for successful participants to be involved in the present and future of Meade County communities. Join us as we discover Meade County and what it takes to run a community inside and out.

Comments from our graduates:

“Being a transplant to such a close knit community isn’t always easy. With the Leadership Program, I was introduced to so many different aspects of the county that allowed me to feel I was part of something that I could make a difference in. I made some great relationships and have a better understanding of what Meade Co. is about. I’m honored to be a part of the program as well as a part of this great community.” ~Daniel Williams

“I have thoroughly enjoyed this class. I now have a better understanding of my community around me. This community has so much to offer that otherwise I would have had no idea existed. I would recommend everyone to take a class such as this one.” Jessie (Coppage) Speaks
