Our Chamber staff, as well as our board and volunteers, work hard to ensure your success.
Five Good Reasons to Join:
Money – Membership in the Meade County Area Chamber of Commerce can have a healthy impact on your bottom line. We provide savings for small businesses that are key to keeping employees long-term. This includes Workman’s Comp Insurance, a group 401K program, small group health coverage, individual health coverage, and business support discounts.
Acclaim – Members of the Meade County Area Chamber of Commerce get recognition among fellow members in our weekly updates and at the organization’s events. We work hard to push our members’ stories out beyond our community and get them recognized on a state level and beyond.
Development – Chamber staff works together to make sure good things happen in our community and that we are prepared for the future. The success of Meade County is top on our list! We work tirelessly to prepare our county to take advantage of our expansion, by facilitating retail growth, supporting industrial growth, and providing talent-pipeline management.
Events – Our Chamber is unique as we partner with Meade County Tourism to produce some of the largest events in the county. In 2021, we organized and coordinated the LST-325 visited by over 15,000 individuals. We also work directly with the Meade County Fair Board to help in any way to help make their 40,000+ plus attendance aware of what all Meade County has to offer. As for our Chamber exclusive events, we host an annual 2-person golf scramble. Our Chamber Banquet is the largest single-event scholarship fundraiser in the county. We celebrate how women get things done by honoring a Business Woman of the Year and the next generation as the Future Business Woman of the Year. The Chamber celebrates its connection to Fort Knox and Hardin County with an annual Community Partnership Dinner. Not to mention our Winter Education Series, monthly Membership Luncheons, and so many ribbon-cutting celebrations! The Ambassador program, Leadership Meade County, and the Work Ethic are among the quality programs and events organized and supported by the Chamber to bring people together as a community, for training, education, and fun.
