We are asking for participants with proven and potential leadership abilities through business and civic activity, who have concern for the community, show volunteer leadership, and potential to help build a greater Meade County. We are looking for a wide variety of skills and interests of people who want to help improve the quality of life. Ideal candidates may be interested in seeking public office, boards, commissions or key volunteer leadership roles. The leadership class is nonpartisan. Application forms will be available in July. Cost for this 8 month program will be $300.
The Chamber had been a part of providing this type of training to the area until 2006, and we feel like it needs to be put back into action again. With the near completion of the State Hwy 313, and the continued growth the county is experiencing, it is important to be proactive in the management of our communities. Leadership classes offer these types of opportunities. Networking all interested and invested people together.
