Spring is on the horizon and the 2015 Chamber 2 person Golf Scramble is coming up!
It’s time for the 29th Annual Two-Person Golf Scramble sponsored by the Meade County Area Chamber of Commerce! We celebrated our 30th anniversary of the Meade County Chamber of Commerce in December of 2014. Many of you or your parents have been a part of this golfing tradition for almost every one of those years! Save the date and make plans to be a part of 2015.
We hope you have made plans to continue your financial support for this tradition in Meade County and are planning to become a new or renewing golf hole sponsor.
Saturday, June 20, 2015 River Trace Golf will be hosting the 29th year for this Father’s Day golfing tradition.
The 2 person golf scramble IS our only fundraiser, and we encourage you to participate in this great part of Meade County and Brandenburg’s Business Community History.
The Chamber has made great strides in growing membership (currently 187 members), bringing interesting and informative speakers to the area, and providing a great luncheon networking program. Quality educational programs are provided free of charge. Community Partnership events continue to grow, while members are actively engaging in leadership meetings within the region.
Our goal has been to offer the community the best business organization possible, to listen to your needs and provide the answers. The Chamber has identified assets and attractions for promoting tourism in the area which is creating much needed revenue into our local businesses. We continue to enhance website opportunities and continue to attract attention for content and reliability of information. Our website and Face book pages are creating the place to go for current information in Meade County. Requests for newsletters continue to come in and new industries are viewing our Chamber as a useful tool in uncharted open markets. As they join our membership we can offer more services and a competitive climate to spur growth in the area.
The Scramble’s success means we can keep improving our efforts to make Meade Chamber of Commerce the catalyst organization that ensures the Meade County message is out in front and easily found.
We shook of the dust and shined up a new mission statement this winter: to enhance opportunities for members of the business community through promotion and education therefore developing a strong local economy and better quality of life.
