“Largest single private donation to a public school in state history”
Congratulations to Meade County Career and College Center! During the ribbon cutting to open the new Technical Center and the partnership with Elizabethtown Community & Technical College, Meade County School Superintendent, Dr. John Millay, accepted a check for $1 million dollars. The donation came from entrepreneur Rick Kueber, a Meade County High School graduate. The donation is for an entrepreneurial career pathway, and will provide for a teacher, necessary technology and innovative support. The gift also allows the district to award scholarships to aspiring business people to attend seminars, and competitions. The pathway will allow students to take a wide range of courses that will introduce them to the broad set of skills needed to run a business, digital business technology, accounting, marketing, and general business principles.
What a remarkable future for the students of Meade County schools. The new technical center, now with the additions of adult college classes, and a permanent home for Adult Education in a state of the art learning facility is an amazing step towards a bright future for our region.
Thanks to all who put in the time, energy and hard work to take an idea and make it a reality. A job well done!
