In the wake of Congress passing pro-growth tax reform yesterday, please see the below note sent from Chamber Federation team member Ben Taylor at the U.S. Chamber. While we may or may not be happy with the changes I thought you as business members would like to see the links. Carole Logsdon
Today, Congress passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, and with it, the first major changes to the American tax code in more than 30 years.
In his statement to the press, U.S. Chamber President and CEO Tom Donohue stated, “Today, Congress achieved what many said was impossible – overhauling our country’s broken, outdated tax code and updating it with bold reforms for lasting growth.” The Chamber federation was an integral part of this bill’s success, and we thank you for your tireless advocacy on behalf of job creators across America. We are pleased to share this tax reform backgrounder and small business one-pager outlining the implications of this bill; we hope you will share with your members as you see fit. Should you have any questions about this legislation or its implementation, please contact senior vice president and chief policy officer Neil Bradley at nbradley@uschamber.com. We look forward to working with you again in 2018. Thank you, Rob Engstrom |
